How to extend the battery life of your mobile phone and get the most from your phone ? As the usage time increases the battery life span is shortened so the next tips will help slow down the deterioration of your phone battery life.
The following tips will vary depending on the version of Android OS you have.
Reducing the frequency of auto sync email accounts less auto sync email accounts saves the battery power you can suspend or delete some accounts. To suspend the account go to Settings – accounts – then choose and turn off an account.
Turn off wifi to save power. WiFi can be turned off when not in use go to Settings – Wireless and networks – wifi and turn it off.
Turn off Bluetooth to save power. Bluetooth should be turned off if not in use go to Settings – wireless and networks – Bluetooth and turn it off.
Turn off data. Please turn off data when it is not used go to Settings – wireless and networks – more mobile networks and then turn off the data.
Turn off 3G. Using a 3G network and allow for faster downloading is great but it also consumes a lot of power especially when the signal is weak.
Enable airplane mode when signal is bad more power is consumed when the signal is bad because the device will keep searching for the signal. Go to Settings – wireless and networks – more then turn on airplane mode to save power.
Lower the screen brightness. Dimming the screen brightness is another way to extend the standby time. Go to Settings – display brightness and manually lower the brightness. Where you can allow the device to auto adjust when low on power use less applications it reduces battery standby time.
Some App Store games that require screen brightness GPRS or internet connection. When low on power use less applications. To shut down background programs please check if there are any apps running background. Go to Settings – APP’s running and you can see all the running APP’s and choose to turn off any.
Turn your screen off. Please set your screen to automatically turn off to save power. You can turn your screen off when not in use to save power go to Settings – display – sleep.
Set use GPS only when necessary. Running GPS all the time does consume lots of the battery power. To turn off GPS please go to Settings – Location access then turn off GPS satellites.
